"Bubbly Audrey"

When I was a kid, in my house, all adults smoked cigarettes! The irony was that cigarettes had a label in which said "THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ADVISES THAT TOBACCO USE, CAUSES CANCER", but it looked like it was the natural thing to do if you are an adult and no one seamed to worry about it. Due to my urge to became an adult rapidly, I started to smoke when I was still a teenager. As I became a successful woman, I felt like I had to continue to smoke in order to complete the so called "package", and cigarettes became my best friends, for about 12 years, I used to smoke at least one pack of cigarettes a day, and I really thought that it was just fine. Until I had children and little by little my perspective about that has changed. Sadly, I am also seen my dear Grandmother battling lung cancer right now, after smoking for too many years! I understand how the media has influenced millions of people to smoke, as smoking has always been synonymous of sensuality and toughness and often times intellect.
In this piece, inspired by a famous image of the unforgettable actress Audrey Hepburn, I would like to show how I now envision a modern and successful woman. I hope you like it!
